Mission Statement

The Dublin West/South West (St. Loman’s) Mental Health Service aims to achieve the best quality of life for people experiencing mental illness through the provision of a comprehensive, integrated, high quality and patient centred Mental Health Service. The Dublin West/South West (St. Loman’s) Mental Health Service strives to provide a seamless service to all patients, measured by ease of access, appropriateness of care and responsiveness to their needs.

Service Delivery

The Dublin West/South West (St. Loman’s) Mental Health Service is organised on a community sector basis with three acute admission units in the Adelaide, Meath Incorporating the National Children’s Hospital (A.M.N.C.H.).  The acute units are complemented by community-based services in clinics, day hospitals, day centres, homecare and community residences.  Community services provide prevention, education, crisis intervention, training facilities, and home based treatment. There is one unit in Dublin West/South West (St. Loman’s) Hospital, a psycho-social rehabilitation unit.

Multidisciplinary Team

As professionals delivering community psychiatric care, we work as part of a multidisciplinary team consisting of Consultant Psychiatrists, Registrars, Clinical Psychologists, Psychiatric Social workers, Occupational Therapists, and Nursing staff. These teams have a range of expertise and an interdisciplinary approach allows them to support the individual and their careers.
